Gympie Arterial Road & Albany Creek Road

This project involved the development of a P90 cost estimate for the upgrade of Gympie Road and Albany Creek Road intersection, Brisbane. The upgrade includes relocating overhead signal lanterns, expanding pedestrian islands, removal of medians, earthworks, pavement construction (asphalt and granular), traffic island reconstruction, carriageway drainage, pavement marking and signage.

Geleon provided the following services:

  •  Identified and prepared a schedule of standard work items in accordance with  Transport and Main Roads (TMR) specifications;
  •  Undertook a quantity take-off and prepared a bill of quantities;
  •  Prepared a P90 cost estimate in accordance with the TMR Project Cost Estimating  Manual;
  •  Performed a probabilistic Monte Carlo simulation using @Risk to quantify the  construction contractors, principles and project risks; and
  •  Prepared a report detailing the estimating process, methodology and presented the  estimated costs.
