Beaudesert Town Centre Bypass

Beaudesert Town Centre Bypass

CORRIDOR INVESTIGATION & ROAD LINK PLANNING

The Project

The Beaudesert Town Centre Bypass investigations saw the development of a 3.5km link bypassing the Beaudesert town centre.

Beaudesert’s high level of heavy industry, primarily quarries, saw large numbers of heavy vehicles travelling through the centre of town hauling cargo north to Brisbane and south into New South Wales. This high level of heavy transport was placing large demands on Beaudesert’s local traffic network and endangering local residents using the town centre.

The design integrated with the proposed Salisbury to Beaudesert rail line to deliver a long term transport solution. Liaising with state and local government agencies as well as the local community, a link was developed that benefits the road network, increases commuter safety and ensures the sustainability of the town centre.
